Hands

I have to admit, this drove me crazy at first. At the start, I felt like the more I drew hands, the less sense they made, like saying the same word over and over again. But the more I drew, the more I improved, and came to enjoy it.

As usual, I'm not crazy about the way they scanned, but oh well.

Like I said before, my drawings are looking much better since I stopped using mechanical pencils. I've been trying out heavier pencils, too.

Here is my very first attempt at the hands lesson, which I had done with a mechanical pencil. They're very wispy and, well, shitty.

It might be a long time before I post another completed lesson, because I'll be busy with school. But I will do at least a little bit of drawing every night, and gradually chip away at this glorious mountain o' model sheets.

I will be posting some more comic book scans in the near future, though.

These hands came out really good. I don't think the one's done with a mechanical pencil are bad. It just makes the lines look weak. The ones drawn with a heavier pencil definetly has a more solid look to them. I hope you're going to post those drawings you do from the model sheets.
